On this short 2-Day Tour from Fes to Marrakech, you will discover the southeast of Morocco while touring Berber villages and riding camels across the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi.
After leaving Fez, we’ll travel through the Middle Atlas and its cedar trees as we make our way to Merzouga. 350 kilometers separate Morocco’s southwest and northwest extremities of this mountain range.
We will go via cities like Ifrane, which is referred regarded as the “Moroccan Switzerland” for the style of its homes and is one of the most prestigious ski resorts in the nation, and Azrou, which is one of Morocco’s most well-known Berber communities.
Then, we will travel into Midelt after crossing the Ziz Valley and the Ziz Gorges. We’ll drive through the desert from Erfoud to Merzouga. We will ride camels to the tent at dusk and stay the night in the midst of the dunes.
You may see the magnificent dawn over Merzouga’s sand dunes as soon as you awake. Following this natural show, you will be transported by camel to a guesthouse in which you will able to bathe and have a meal that will provide you with the energy to resume your trip.
Continuing the route, you will travel through Tafilalet Palmeral and Rissani before you approach Alnif. Next, you’ll pass the breathtaking Anti-Atlas mountains to explore the Berber towns of Tazarine and Nkob, as well as the Draa Valley and its vast stretch of date palms.
You will arrive in the new Ouarzazate after navigating the mountain range through the port of Tizi N’Tnifift, where you will halt for lunch. With a full tummy, we will tour the Ait Benhaddou Kasbah before embarking on the road back to Marrakech to drop you off at your hotel. That ends our Tour from Fes to Marrakech via the Moroccan Sahara desert.
