In this Moroccan Imperial Cities Tour, you will spend 7 days from the largest city Casablanca to Marrakech discovering the four marvelous imperial cities of Morocco.

We will show you around so many sightseeing sites of each city, such as the historic Hassan Tower, the must-see sites of Fes, the impressive Ouzoud Waterfalls, and the wonderful architecture of El-Koutoubia Mosque.

Itinerary of the Moroccan Imperial Cities Tour

Day 1: Casablanca – Transfer to the hotel

Let the Moroccan Imperial Cities Tour begin! Upon your arrival at Mohammed the V airport in Casablanca, our driver will be there to welcome you and take you to the hotel.  He will also provide you with a general overview of your tour in Morocco.

    Day 2: Casablanca – Rabat – Meknes – Fes

After breakfast, we will go on a tour of the commercial capital of Morocco, Casablanca.  First, we will visit Hassan II mosque, which is the largest Mosque in Africa and the fifth largest mosque in the world.

Then, we will head to the administrative capital of Morocco, Rabat, to explore its important monuments. In this modern city, we will visit first the Royal Palace and the Mausoleum of Mohamed V, which is a real masterpiece where calligraphy and sculpting in plaster blend to form a beautiful tomb. Following this, we will visit the Hassan Tower which is an incomplete mosque and minaret.

By midday, we will leave for Fes via Volubilis and Meknes. As we reach Volubilis, which is an archeological and UNESCO world heritage, we will stop to explore its different remaining ruins which still embrace a lot of stories about the Roman era in Morocco.

After that, we will continue to Meknes where we will visit the Bou Inania Quranic School, Bab Mansour, and Lehdim square. Late in the evening, we will be in Fes.

Day 3: A tour of Fes city

After breakfast, today’s journey will be dedicated to exploring Morocco’s spiritual and cultural center, Fes. We will begin our journey with a visit to Fez’ ancient medina, which is one of the world’s oldest living Medinas.

While we are still wandering through the small alleyways of the medina, we will see the Royal Palace’s doorway, the 9th-century Qaraouine University, the world’s first university, the mausoleum of the city’s founder, Moulay Driss, and the 11th-century Chouara Tannery.

Following this, we will leave the old Medina to explore the Najjarine Fountain and the Batha Museum which collects many Moroccan and Islamic old paintings and masterpieces. On our way back to the hotel, we will seize the chance to enjoy a panoramic view of the whole city.

Day 4: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Beni Mellal

On this Moroccan Imperial Cities Tour, we will leave Fes after breakfast and go to Beni Mellal. We will drive through Ifran, Morocco’s “Switzerland,” where we will appreciate its gardens and take remembrance photos next to a sculptured lion in the midst of the city.

After that, we’ll make a stop in Azrou’s cedar forest, which is home to some adorable monkeys. This is your great chance to feed, play, and take unique images with the monkeys. After lunch in Azrou, we’ll go to Beni Mellal, where we’ll eat supper and spend the night.

Day 5: Beni Mellal – Ouzoud Waterfalls – Marrakech

After having breakfast, we will drive through a woody mountain to the waterfalls of Ouzoud. As we reach the falls, you will have free time on this Moroccan Imperial Cities Tour to explore their beauty on your own and then visit some small shops which sell unique local handicrafts.

After lunch, we will seize the opportunity to explore some very old mills down the waterfalls. Before heading back to Marrakech, we will take some memorial pictures to remember the uniqueness and attractiveness of that place.

Day 6: A tour of Marrakech City

We will enjoy a full-day tour of Marrakech. First, we’ll go to the Menara, a large pool that acts as an irrigation system for the surrounding gardens. Later, we will visit the Bahia Mansion, a late-nineteenth-century palace designed to encapsulate the splendor of Islamic art and Moroccan architecture.

Our Marrakech sightseeing trip will also include visits to the Koutoubia mosque, the Majorelle Gardens, and Dar Si Said Museum. We’ll proceed to Jamaa El Fna Square after lunch in the old medina, where we’ll wander through its small lanes and colorful souks.

In this unique square, you will live a real bridge between the past and the present and experience a place where Moroccan traditions coexist with modernity. Night will be spent in the Riad.

Day 7: Marrakech – Casablanca (Hotel or Airport)

After an early morning breakfast, we will drive to Casablanca through numerous impressive landscapes and views. As we enter the commercial capital of Morocco, we will visit to United Nations square, Mohamed V Avenue, and the Mosque of Hassan II before accompanying you to the airport. That ends our Moroccan Imperial Cities Tour.
