Itinerary of the Merzouga 4×4 Tour

            After breakfast, we will ride our 4×4 cars to go on an exploratory trip around the surrounding villages of Erg Chebbi dunes. First, we will drive to Hassi Labied to see some gardens which are still irrigated by canals as well as visit some beauty shops which sell natural products such as Argan oil and natural honey.

Following this, we will head to a seasonal lake near the village of Merzouga called ‘Date Sarji’ to see the birds of Flamingos and other beautiful types of birds. After you enjoy the beauty of the lake, we will hit the road to Khamlia, which is known as the town of black people coming from Sudan, to visit Dar Gnawa (the house of Gnawa) to enjoy their spiritual music.

After we leave Khamlia, our next stop will take place in a panoramic view of the golden dunes near the Algerian borders. In this beautiful place, we will have a break to enjoy a picnic lunch under the shadows of a palm tree. Then, we will continue our way to visit a Berber nomad family in their tents.

At first, we will introduce you to the members of the family before sharing with them a cup of tea and engaging with them in a cultural conversation where you will learn about their traditions and ways of life. After that, we will visit some black volcanic rocks before heading back to Merzouga.
