We travel down the coast to Rabat after breakfast. Morocco’s present capital and one of the imperial cities. You will have lunch and see the highlights of Morocco’s capital. Among these are the Hassan Tower and the Kasbah of Oudaya. In the afternoon, we travel north through Ouazzane to the Rif Mountains’ Blue City of Chefchaouen where you will have dinner and stay for the night.

After breakfast, you will go for the ancient Roman remains of Volubilis. The morning of day 3 of the Tour from Casablanca will be spent touring the 2000-year-old ruins and gaining a sense of life during the Roman Empire. Meknes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities, will host lunch. Afterward, your guide will take you on a tour of Meknes before transporting you to Fes, Morocco’s cultural and spiritual center. We spend the day with a local guide touring the highlights of Fes. In addition to being the cultural and religious heart of Morocco, the city is considered one of the imperial cities. We begin the day by going to the Royal Palace Gate and the well-preserved medieval Medina, which UNESCO has designated as a World Heritage Site. You will go to Bab Boujloud, which is the gateway to the old Medina. It looks to be a maze of lanes and streets. You will enter the Medina to see the Madrasa Bouanania, the Tanneries and the Najjarine fountain, and the Quaraouin mosque and university, the world’s oldest institution. After that, we depart Medina to visit the Jewish district also known as “the Mellah”. We drive to a historic fortress in the afternoon for a panoramic view over the Medina and the city of Fes. Finally, we make our way back to a Riad where we will sleep for the night.

You will begin your trek through the Middle Atlas Mountains after an early breakfast. As you pass the Atlas Mountains and begin your descent into the Sahara Desert, you will spend the most of the day threading your way through lush woods, jagged rock walls, and Berber settlements. Halfway, you’ll stop for lunch at Midelt, a town known for its fossils and rocks. After the long trip, a hot shower or a plunge into the swimming pool (depending on the weather) will be a welcome relief. The Kasbah will serve dinner.

Most of the day will be spent at the hotel or touring the small yet intriguing desert villages. In the afternoon, you’ll ride in 4×4 vehicles across the desert to see the beautiful Sahara sand dunes. After breakfast, you will return to Erfoud by camel to the 4x4s. You leave Erfoud behind the High Atlas Mountains on your way to the Todra Gorges. After an early breakfast, you depart for Ouarzazate via the 1000 Kasbahs route. You may visit the historic Kasbahs among the palm groves if you choose. A trek up into the Dades Gorges is well worth your time as you witness this incredible natural phenomenon. When you arrive in Ouarzazate, you may tour this southern town, which is perhaps most known now for the films that have been made there. The hotel will provide dinner.

Departure in the morning for Taliouine, Morocco’s Saffron capital, and a gorgeous oasis village. Continue to Taroudant, a former regional capital and the first capital city of the Saadian dynasty, located at the junction of the Souss valley and the High Atlas mountains, the “little Marrakech” provides a wonderful panorama of southern Morocco. Taroudant provides a nice location for those who want to relax in the shadow of ochre walls and enjoy the sweetness of life and Berber hospitality of Moroccans all year. After breakfast, travel for Agadir, which has a panoramic view of the Atlantic Ocean. Agadir’s vast, shallow beach spans as far as the eye can see, set on a crescent of sand. After lunch in Agadir, our journey continues to the north to Essaouira, a city with a strong atmosphere where you can explore Berber, Portuguese, Jewish, and French history in the well-preserved architecture, with its little alleyways and whitewashed houses with blue paintwork and picturesque fishing harbor representing the Portuguese character of settlers from the 16th century.

After breakfast, we depart for Marrakech along the gorgeous inland route with the forest of Argan trees that exist only in this region of the globe, stopping to snap photographs with goats picking’ Argan fruits. Then, go to an Argan oil cooperative managed by local women… you can take a tour to see how argan oil is created, interact with the women, and buy delights like handcrafted soap or ‘Amlou,’ a typical Moroccan jam, to take home. Then we proceed to Marrakech. An overnight stay awaits you in a hotel or a Riad.

This is a sightseeing day trip to Marrakesh, known as the “Pearl of the South” for its enthralling history and rich cultural legacy. You will see the Saadian tombs, the Koutoubia Mosque, the city’s tallest structure, the Bahia Palace, and Majorelle Gardens. You will visit the souks as well as the world-famous Djemaa El Fna, which provides a variety of entertainment (storytellers, water vendors, acrobats, snake-charmers, magicians, musicians, orange-juice sellers, open-air BBQ food stalls). A Fantasia dinner at a local restaurant is optional. Enjoy the fantasia entertainment, which features horse exhibitions, folkloric armies from several Moroccan areas, and belly dancers.
