Moroccan Imperial Cities 7 Days

 

day 1: Casablanca – Transfer to the hotel

Upon you arrival to Mohammed the V airport in Casablanca, our driver will be there to welcome you and pick you up to the hotel.  He will also provide you with a general overview about your tour in Morocco.

Day 2: Casablanca – Rabat – Meknes – Fes

After breakfast, we will go on a tour in the commercial capital of Morocco, Casablanca.  First, we will visit Hassan II mosque, which is the largest Mosque in Africa and the fifth largest mosque in the world. Then, we will head to the administrative capital of Morocco, Rabat, to explore its important monuments. In this modern city, we will visit first the Royal Palace and the Mausoleum of Mohamed V, which is a real masterpiece where calligraphy and sculpting in plaster blend to form a beautiful tomb. Following this, we will visit the Hassan Tower which is an incomplete mosque and minaret. By midday, we will leave to Fez via Volubilis and Meknes. As we reach Volubilis, which is an archeological and a UNISCO world heritage, we will stop to explore its different remaining ruins which still embrace a lot of stories about the Romans era in Morocco. After that, we will continue to Meknes where we will visit the Bou Inania Quranic School, Bab Mansour, and Lhdim square. Late in the evening, we will be in Fes.

Day 3: Full Day To Visit Fes

 After having breakfast, today’s excursion will be dedicated to explore the spiritual and cultural capital of Morocco, Fez. With a local official tour guide, we will visit first the old medina of Fez which is one of the oldest living Medinas in the world. As we are still walking in the narrow alleys of the medina we will visit other main places such as, the gateway of the Royal Palace, the 9th century Qaraouine University, which is the first university to be built in the whole world, the mausoleum of Moulay Driss, who is the city founder, and the 11th century Chouara Tannery. Following this, we will leave the old Medina to explore the Najarine Fountain and the Batha Museum which collects many Moroccan and Islamic old paintings and masterpieces. On our way back to the hotel, we will seize the chance enjoy a panoramic view of the whole city.

Day 4: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Beni Mellal

 After breakfast, we will depart from Fes towards the city of Beni Mellal. Throughout the way, we will pass through Ifran or the “Switzerland of Morocco” where we will enjoy its gardens and have memorial pictures close to a sculptured lion in the middle of the city. After that, we will stop in the cedar forest of Azrou with its lovely monkeys. This place will be your golden opportunity to feed, play, and take unique pictures with the monkeys. After having lunch in Azrou, we will continue our way to Beni Mellal where we will have dinner and spend the night.

 

Day 5: Beni Mellal – Ouzoud Waterfalls – Marrakech

After having breakfast, we will drive through a woody mountain to the waterfalls of Ouzoud. As we reach the falls, you will have free time to explore their beauty on your own and then visit some small shops which sell unique local handicrafts. After lunch, we will seize the chance to explore some very old mills down the waterfalls. Before heading back to Marrakech, we will take ‘all-together’ some memorial pictures to remember the uniqueness and attractiveness of that place.

Day 6: Full Day To Visit Marrakech

Today, we will have a full-day tour to sightsee Marrakech. First, we will visit the Menara which is a hug pool serves as an irrigation system for the surrounded gardens. After that, we will visit the Bahia Palace, a palace built in the late 19th century to capture the beauty of the Islamic Art and the Moroccan architecture. Our sightseeing tour in Marrakech will cover also other places such as, The Koutoubia mosque, the Majorelle Gardens, and Dar Si Said museum. After having lunch in the old medina, where we will walk through its narrow alleys and colorful souks, we will head to Jamaa El Fna Square. In this unique square, you will live a real bridge between the past and the present and experience a place where Moroccan traditions coexist with modernity. Night will be spent in the Riad.

Day 7: Marrakech – Casablanca (Hotel or Airport)

 After an early morning breakfast, we will drive to Casablanca through numerous impressive landscapes and views. As we entered the commercial capital of Morocco, we will visit to United Nations square, Mohamed V Avenue and the Mosque of Hassan II before accompanying you to the airport.
