Itinerary

Day 1

Day One: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains) – Merzouga

The 2-day desert tour from Marrakech to Merzouga will start early in the morning when we pick you up from your accommodation in Marrakech. This way, we’ll have enough time to make as many stops as possible. Our first destinations we’ll cross the scenic Tizi n Tichka pass to the High Atlas Mountains and Berber villages to the Ouarzazate city. Where the Saharan oasis of Tafilalet begins. In this region, we’ll stop for lunch and enjoy a traditional Moroccan meal. Along the way, we’ll make some stops for pictures and breaks for coffe. Before the sunset time, we’ll arrive in Merzouga to find camels waiting to take us on a tour of the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. You will witness a fabulous sunset over the dunes and enjoy the tranquility of the Sahara desert. Then, we’ll have dinner, enjoy a party around the campfires, and spend the night in a luxury desert camp under a sky full of stars.

Day 2

Day Two: Merzouga – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

After seeing a magical sunrise in the dunes and having breakfast, we’ll ride camels back to the Merzouga village and head to the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site via Agdz and the majestic Draa Valley. Ait Ben Haddou has been the setting for several famous films like Gladiator and TV series such as Game of Thrones and much more. After lunch at a nearby restaurant, we will continue to Ouarzazate, Africa’s Hollywood, where we’ll visit the studios where many international movies were filmed. Then, we’ll drive via the Atlas Mountains, around 18:00 we will arrive to the imperia cilty of Marrakech where our two days desert trip to Merzouga comes to an end.
